At PIMaCS, we are attempting to share, observe, and study this phenomenon which has seemed to affect millions of women the world over since the start of the 21st Century. We will endeavor to understand this epidemic through theory and conjecture based on the photographic evidence found, as well as defining and cataloging these events so they can be identified.

Golden Pimacs

We've already seen that no matter size, shape, or circumstance, a good Pimacs does not discriminate. Already we've seen the Pimacs effect on women as young as newborns. This photo shows that even on the senior side of  life, the Pimacs goes on.

30 1/2 - Girl Pimacs

This photo was submitted by Pimacs enthusiest Scott S. This is a huge Stage 2 Pimacs. Difficult to assertain, due to the amount of people in the photo, but this could be an orbital Pimacs. Considering the central girl (pink skirt) fits the profile, being the smallest/petite in the group, while the others are drawn to her from all directions, it seems it might be the case. It is also worth noting, this might also establish a pecking order, of sorts, to the Pimacs phenomenon. At the risk of offending, notice how the most attractive girls seem to be centered, while the other, less attractive girls, are in the perephery. Notice the one on the far left is actually cropped. Why was she cropped. Has this to do with a twist to the Pimacs Rejection as seen in previous posts? Only she doesn't seem to be rejected from the pack so much as from the photographer.

A 24-Girl Pimacs

When it comes to Pimacs, it seems the more the merrier. This is our largest so far, twenty-four girls, and all with hats no less. Wow!

Another Angle

Here we have a classic CLO configuration, but taken at a different angle. Here, the fat girl hides behind the skinny ones, but doesn't put them between herself and the camera. Curious behavior. Did the Pimacs effect cause them to bond like this before they could position properly? Or, was there another camera off to the right?

Sororiety Girls

Yes indeed, it seems sororiety sisters bond over boys, alchohol, and Pimacs

A 21-Girl Pimacs

The number of women in a single Pimacs seems to get larger and larger. Here is a 21-girl, massive noggin-knocker.

Occasion

What do these two pics have in common? If you had said ladies suffering from Pimacs, you'd be correct. One is taken at a party, the other at a funeral. I believe this illustrates that Pimacs can occur at almost any occasion.

The Illustrated Pimacs

If it's true that art imitates life, then these illustrations prove that the Pimacs phenomenon is pervasive enough in our culture that artists illustrate women, in their chosen medium, in a Pimacs configuration.

Unification

If there is one positive thing to say about Pimacs, it certainly brings women together. This Stage 2 Pimacs shows us that uniforms + Pimacs = solidarity among its subjects.

Recap #02

OK Pimacs enthusiasts, let's see what we've learned so far.

It seems the phenomenon of Pimacs is very diverse. We've seen a variety of configurations including:
Orbital
Optical
Pinwheel
MGG
Reversi

We've seen the effects of Solo Pimacs on reflective surfaces, and discovered a rare 19th century photo of women Pimacsing, challenging the myth that Pimacs is something that only came about with digital photography in the 21st century.

We've also furthered the case that Pimacsing can induce subtle to moderate indications of lesbianism, as is evident with pictures including open mouth kissing, suggestive facial expressions, and hanging around in their underwear. We certainly aren't condemning or accusing these girls of being lesbians, quite the contrary. We're merely pointing out that the Pimacs effect seems to induce such behavior in many of its subjects.

We've also seen photographic evidence of Pimacs rejection, where one or two women in a group photo seemed to be excluded from the Pimacs effect. There is not sufficient data to conclude if this is a result of a negative magnetic resonance that is out of tune with the magnetic forces causing the other girls to attract toward each other. Or, this phenomenon could be more psychological in nature, an unconscious instinct not unlike a pack or herd mentality where the sick or lame  among them is cast out for the good of the herd.

We've also have evidence of possible telepathic communication as well as reproduction.

Finally, we see that Pimacs is a powerful phenomenon indeed. While the a-typical photo may include two or three girls in a photo, there really is no limit. Eight girl, nine girl, thirteen and even seventeen girl Pimacs have already been discovered.

a 17-Girl Pimacs

The ladies of Florida State's Delta Gamma Sorority show us that there is no limit to the amount of women who can suffer from this affliction in a single picture. Just how many girls can Pimacs in a single photo? Up till now, we have been impressed with pictures of 8 or 9 girls in a single Pimacs. This picture obviously tops them all. Don't get too excited though, in the days and weeks to come, we will be releasing more photos that will greatly top 17. Stay tuned Pimacs enthusiasts.

The MGG

While it cannot be denied that a self induced Pimacs directly awakens homo-erotic suggestiveness in its subjects, it is not the only lesbian-inducing type of Pimacs. Take this picture for example. This is actually quite intriguing as it first and foremost demonstrates a rare event in Pimacs photography known as multi-group grouping, or MGG. That is a single photo in which the subjects Pimacs in seperate sub-configurations, rather than a single, unified type. The two girls in front are forming an optical Pimacs, while the two in the back are, ahem, clearly involved in a stag 1 classic Pimacs with a slight breach in standard configuration (mouth to mouth rather than forehead to forehead). The fifth girl, who is positioned off center is either placed there as a result of the Pimacs rejection phenomenon, or being the most petite, could be the centerpiece in a dual configuration orbital Pimacs.

Ummmmm...

Just like everything else in nature, sometimes things just don't develop properly. Call it what you will; a mental deficiency, stunted learning, or a handicap. These poor Pimacs victims obviously suffer from a deficiency in their brain development, either through a birth defect or a traumatic experience during childhood. No matter the cause, the effect is the same, a Pimacs effect that causes them to attach to each other, not head-to-head, but some other asset.

Mirror/rorriM

We've seen in previous posts how some of the more sensitive women suffer from solo Pimacs, a condition that has their head seeking out another head for contact despite being all alone. However, place a mirror in the picture and the self Pimacs subject will atempt to bond her cranium to her reflection's cranium.

Or, as evident in this photo, if there is no mirror, any reflective surface will do. Much like a housecat who sees its reflection for the first time and immediately feels threatened, these poor souls instinctively Pimacs when confronted with a camera.

The Olympimacs

Yes, even world class athletes, who appear before crowds of people, and perform on wide open fields, cannot resist the attractive forces that their craniums generate when standing before a camera.

Communication

Is it possible there could be benefits to the Pimacs effect such as short range telepathy? In this first photo, we see a classic stage 1 Pimacs with a face-to-face configuration. With eyes closed they appear to be thinking of something.

In the second photo, they laugh, as if  they just shared a joke. Interesting.

Vintage Pimacs

Once thought to be a phenomenon of the digital photography age, along comes this Pimacs photo from Michigan, circa 1896. This could very well be the first documented Pimacs in the history of photography. A classic stage 1 Orbital Pimacs, and what a find indeed. It also represents our largest Pimacs to date: 13 women in all. Notice the two on the extreme left and bottom right. They seem to be unaffected by the Pimacs effect. As we've seen in previous photos, this could also indicate classic rejection by the pack/herd mentality of the rest of the group.

Pimacs Reproduction

Up till now we've seen the Pimacs effect and it's many variations. Yet the question still eludes us. Why? For everything a purpose under Heaven, yes? So what is it about the Pimacs effect? What does it gain? Could it be reproducing? Take a look at the first photo. Here we have a standard stage 1 Pimacs. Notice the tight pose despite the ample room in the shot that would give these girls their personal space.

Now take a look at the second picture. After the first picture is taken the two heads seem to create a third. This may very well be the first Pimacs birth caught on film. What possible social ramifications could this have? Have women finally attained a state of independence so great, they've found a way to reproduce on their own? What will the future hold for men? Would we be a pure labor force only, or possibly go extinct?

Nine Girl Pimacs

So far the largest Pimacs yet. A full, 9-girl, stage 1 Pimacs. WOW.

This Configuration Is A Plus

Ok folks, we got a doozy here. This needs its own classification as there is too much going on to adhere to any one previous classification. This is known as a Pinwheel Pimacs. First, and obvious, this is a Stage 1, as the heads are making contact. Secondly, this is an Optical Pimacs as the heads are moving towards the center of the frame. Lastly, this is also a hybrid of the Optical and Orbital variants as the subjects seem to orbit, not a central subject, but the camera itself. Quite possibly the most active Pimacs photo to date.

Pimacs Induced Lesbianism

Once again we see how the self-induced photo not only creates the Pimacs effect, but also loosens the inhibitions of it's subjects.

Pimacs Rejection

Could this be proof that the Pimacs effect isn't universal? That somehow other variables are factored in? Take a look at these photos. In the first picture we see four ladies posing for a picture. Three of them tilt their heads toward each other, a staple of the stage 2 variant. Yet notice the one in the middle remains stationary. This alone is inconclusive as other photos suggest that one girl could have a dominant resonance which pulls the others towards her. As in this photo, the three ladies in the leopard print bikinis seem drawn to the lady in a solid black bikini.

Now look at this. When the lady in black is removed, the three leopard print gals succumb to the Pimacs effect unhindered. Do some women have a polarized, or opposite magnetic charge that negates a  Pimacs? What causes this? Is it a variation like being left handed, or having type O negative blood? Or could this be less about the Pimacs and more about herd/pack mentality. Perhaps the lady in black is carrying a disease that the others institutionally reject from the herd. Perhaps she's more/less fertile than the others. Whatever the case, this phenomenon within Pimacs warrants further study.

An Eight Girl Pimacs Pile-Up

What's better than a pretty girl? Eight of them of course. A curious happening here. It seems their arms suggest a need to pull each other in closer (the Pimacs effect no doubt), but the middle blonde has a wide stance, and does not conform to the chest-to-back configuration. Is she more resistant than the others? Could it be that she is the centerpiece of this Pimacs, as the other girls position themselves towards her? Either way, her position denies them from attaining a stage 1.

Reversi

Magnetic attraction works in a straight line. We've already seen how magnetic attractions create both typical and non-typical poses  like symmetrical head stacking and orbital patterns. Here is a Pimacs Reversi, or a  back to back configuration.  This is a stage 2, below is a stage 1 variant.

Nature vs Nurture II

Ok, so it has been suggested that the girls in the photo used as evidence in the first  nature vs nurture post is inconclusive. While the girls seem to be 6-8 years old, I will concede that even at such a young age, girls can imitate and adopt behavior. However, these images should more than trump the staunchest observers that believe Pimacs is a behavioral fad that is learned when girls grow up and prove conclusively that the magnetic bonding effect is a true phenomenon.

Celebrity

Another Stage 1 Pimacs, this time with celebrities. Yes, even for women who make a living in front of a camera still cannot resist the magnetic pull experienced by Pimacs victims. While none of these girls could be considered "obese", considering that this picture is taken at a premier event where multiple cameras are used, perhaps the fear of each camera "adding 10lbs" has evoked a CLO behavior in their bonding, the most anorexic one out in front.

Recap #01

Ok Pimacs enthusiasts, let's recap what we've learned so far.

First, there seems to be two distinct stages of Pimacs:
Stage 1 - Full Contact
Stage 2 - No Contact

Second, we've seen that Pimacs is diverse, with variations such as:
Orbital - When heads of other females create a three dimensional circular pattern around a central head.
Optical - when heads are drawn toward an imaginary center point, and not necessarily toward each other.

Third, We've learned that age, culture, and group size do not factor into the Pimacs phenomenon. Indeed, all it needs is a camera and two or more females.

Fourth, with the CLO and NMR effects, it warrants further study into the theory that Pimacs may not be a 100% irresistible force of nature, or a basic instinct. It seems the victims may retain some rudimentary cognitive function, such as hiding behind skinny girls or establishing dominance.

...but we've only just begun. Much more study and evidence is needed.

The CLO Effect

CLO, or Counter-Logical Obfuscation, is the idea that when a Pimacs is in effect, the larger women take shelter, or hide, behind the smaller ones. We've already observed in previous photos how the smaller females are usually centered in these photos, but CLO takes it a step further by the illogical notion that a skinny girl can hide the fat of a fat girl and thus deceiving the viewer. But to the trained eye of a Pimacs viewer, CLOs are glaringly obvious.

The Impractical Side

This photo, capturing a stage 2 Pimacs, illustrates the impractical nature of this epidemic. Six girls, all of small to average frame, next to a stretch SUV limo, yet find it necessary to cram together. For the price, it would have been cheaper to rent a Prius.

Symmetrical Head Stacking

So rare, this may very well be the Holy Grail of Pimacs photographic evidence. It incorporates elements of standard  and optical Pimacs, both in the stage 1 phase. The heads are drawn in an unusual vertical pattern, instead of the typical horizontal one. This may be the result of an Orbital Pimacs that shifted from stage 2 to stage 1. Notice the smallest girl is centered, a prime characteristic in Orbital Pimacs? Uncharacteristic of typical Pimacs is the behavior of the subjects. Here, they seem either unaware, or uninterested, in the camera's presence. This may be due to their positioning, as their chin-to-head link denies direct cranium to cranium bonding.

NMR

An example of the NMR effect, or Negative Male Resonance. Even with so many women, the placement of just one male seems potent enough to negate the magnetic forces. Is it possible that men give off a polarized energy that counteracts the Pimacs effect? Considering the radius and the male to female ratio, this photo suggest the NMR is a powerful counter-force indeed.

Stage 2 Optical Pimacs

Considered to be a phenomenon within the phenomenon, Optical Pimacs is an instinctive drawing of the heads, not toward each other, but toward the imaginary center point within the photo. Notice the characteristics of Pimacs displayed here: the waste of space as all four heads are drawn in centrally. The placement of the tiniest female in the center. The lack of physical, and optical contact of the heads making this a solid stage 2 variant.

Solo Pimacs

A rare condition indeed, but proof that some women may be more sensitive than others. Here is a picture of a single female whos head, when confronted with a camera, begins to seek out nearby heads to attach to.

Self Inflicted Pimacs

A Pimacs, as a result of a self-inflicted photo, seems to be the most severe. It could be argued that due to the camera only being at arms length forces women to press their heads together in order to fit in frame. It does not account for the additional flirtatious expression on both victim's face, however. Instead it either suggests, or reveals, a deeper intimacy between head-bonded women. Could this be friends who harbor a small lesbian fantasy for each other? Could this be sisters subtly suggesting a menage a trios with a person with whom they are mutually interested in?

Nature Over Nurture

Considering their young age, it seems apparent that the likelihood of this being a learned social behavior is given way to the possibility that for females, this is more akin to born instinct.

Evolution Of Pimacs

Let us study this phenomenon in action, shall we? In this first photo, we see three young ladies making their way through the park. They seem to catch a glimpse of a nearby camera.

Almost immediately  as the second picture is taken, the photo-magnetic effect begins to take place as they move in, head first. Do opposites attract? Notice how the blonde and the brown-haired ladies already created the initial bond, while the brunette moves in, head first.

While the blonde and the brown-haired ladies remain bonded, the brunette jockeys for position. Is this a method of establishing dominance? Was her purple umbrella interfering with the bonding process?

Finally, a three way bonding, as the blonde, brown, and dark haired ladies are in full stage 1 Pimacs. Notice how the umbrellas, once an impediment to the bonding process, now seems to enforce it.

A Global Epidemic

This stage 1 septuplet Pimacs comes from a group of young girls in Manila, dispelling any myth that Pimacs is strictly a western cultural "fad."

Proptus Interuptus

Sometimes in order to keep heads from bonding, an artificial object is placed strategically as seen in this photo. This is known as "Proptus Interuptus."
